gpu Gpu fan not speeding up

The card is a radeon r9 270, the issue is that the fans are not speeding up as temp increases. I have overclocked the card and i also set a custom fan curve on msi afterburner, i'm not sure if that has anything to do with this problem but i tryed reseting the overclock and unchecking the custom fan curve, but the issue still persists. This is really bugging me because i cant play games without the gpu reaching 100 c. Also manually changing the gpu fan speed does work, but i would rather have it be automatic like it should be.

Have you tried resetting the drivers or downgrading to an older version? Seems like some of the newer versions of the drivers for amd have been causing fan issues, it has for me.

No i have not, i will give that a go now.
