Boot from NVMe SSD

Hello guys, I had a small question about the Gigabyte Z270X Ultra Gaming motherboard: Is this motherboard capable of booting from the M.2 slot out of the box? or does it need a bios update/something else before being able to boot from an M.2 ssd? The ssd I'm planning to use is an Intel 600P.

It should be fine out of the box.  An older Z170 board might need an update first, and for sure any z97 board.
