Upon the recommendation from someone from the community, I went with a MX Master as a new mouse. However, about a day after purchasing, the issue with the scroll wheel locking itself into free-wheel mode happened. Didn't think anything of it until the same happened to the replacement which warranted an investigation as to what was fully happening. Seems like its an inherent problem of these mice, which is a shame because it was really really nice!

Can someone recommend me a good mouse (wireless if possible) that's good for general use (not a hardcore gamer) and that feels good? I used to have a Microsoft Wireless mouse 3000 v1 if thats a guide for any recommendations.

Cheers!

Logitech Performance MX.  It's the model before the MX Master so is almost identical.  The scroll wheel has a switch for freewheeling instead of the automatic thing which is a bit flaky.

I have the Performance MX from Logitech, very handy mouse that serves me well. It is both wireless and wired if you choose to tether it via USB.

Very precise, I use a lot of productivity apps, Photoshop, 3ds max, after effects, premiere, zbrush with no discomfort.

Time to look for a half decent priced Performance MX! As nice as the g900 looks and (having tried it before but forgot what it was called) is really responsive, the feel of the MX was something else. Ergonomics are bliss. I wasn't aware the Performance had a switch for that scroll thingy

Cheers @Corrupt_Liberty and @mrzoltowski !

No problem, I work and play on a PC for 10 hours a day, and I have no strain. The ergonomics are second to none, as well as the rubbery finish on the thumb and the quality of build is outstanding. I almost never use the clicky thing as I prefer the stepped scroll wheel as to the free rolling one but it works great.
