I just recently built a used pc and when I turn it on it posts but it doesn't boot into windows. I installed windows onto this hdd using another pc and when I try to boot into windows with my pc I just built it either resets when I press enter for boot windows normally or it it gets stuck on Windows is loading files Please help this pc is for my bro

 

Specs of the used pc:

- Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3

- Core 2quad q6600

Gtx 460 1gb

Ventec ion 2 460w psu

7 gb of assorted ram

For this to work you will need the exact same PC or else it will not work! When you install Windows it will install all drivers etc. for that PC. If you are lucky it might boot into windows because the specs are similar, but then you will have problems.

 

Install Windows with the PC it will be running with.

My Setup: 
CPU: i7 4790 @3800 MHz, MB: MSI H87-G41, Grafik: Gigabyte GTX 1080TI, RAM: 2x 8GB DDR3 (1600), Storage: Samsung SSD 850 Evo

I can't it, freezes when you try to load the installer

From what are you installing? CD or USB Stick?

Okay. I had that error once, but not sure what the problem was... But the USB Stick worked on the other PC?

Maybe try another USB Port, maybe this helps.

 

BTW: You are installing Win 10?

Windows 7 and i tried every port i could use i even burned a cd to try and istal it through there but even that didn't
