Hello,

So this week I received a PCIE-extender in the mail that I had ordered, little did I know though that two pins had been soldered together in a botched soldering job. So now I have a dead R7 240.

as much as I'd love to purchase a 1050, I simply cannot spare $100 to do so. my budget is $60 for a used card. AMD or Nvidia is fine.

What would you guys recommend I replace my card with, and where would you recommend getting it?

I'm currently running at 1440x900 on a Acer P191w and typically play games like Fallout 4, GTA V, Robocraft, and Cities: Skylines. Although I am going to be eventually switching to a dual monitor setup with both a 1600x900 panel and a 800x600 panel used for coding and system monitoring.

My procrastination is the bane of my existence.

I make games and stuff in my spare time.

Used graphics cards are almost always a good deal, they are cheap, have decent performance, etc.

I'd recommend a 770 or 760, sure they are old but they are still really good. You can find a 760 for 60 bucks here in Sweden. I just saw an ad where I could get two 780's for 200 bucks (which is really good if you ask me).

Agree totally 760 is the way to go most 760's/70s require 2 6 pin connections on the psu so make sure your all set before u end up with a bad day
