Hello People!

I have noticed an issue I've gotten for a couple of months now, i tend to keep my machine open for downloads and remote work ( i work as a 3d modeler) gladly no crashes happen, but after a while (12+), when i drag windows around u see a clear stutter of the window, start menu has a like 1+ second delay to respond and a general performance slowdown.

Here are my specs from Speccy:

Operating System
    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU
    Intel Core i7 5820K @ 3.30GHz    31 °C
    Haswell-E/EP 22nm Technology
RAM
    16.0GB Crucial Ballistix Elite 16GB Kit (4GBx4) DDR4 2666 (PC4-21300)
Motherboard
    ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. X99-A/USB 3.1 (SOCKET 2011)    28 °C
Graphics
    4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (EVGA)    36 °C
Storage
    465GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO M.2 500GB (SSD)    27 °C
    2048GB Western Digital WDC WD3003FZEX-00Z4SA0 (SATA)    29 °C
    1863GB Western Digital WDC WD20EZRX-00D8PB0 (SATA)    27 °C
    746GB AVD WDC WD3003FZEX-00Z4SA0 (NULL)

No overclocks or anything since i dont have that sort of guts to try those things.

So if anyone can help in better understanding whats going on or if there something i can do or install anything to give my machine a boost.

thanks

Sounds more like one of your existing pieces of software has a memory leak.

What do you normally have running ?

Does the problem go away (for a while) if you reboot the PC?

Also ... done a deep virus scan lately?   Not likely a virus, but could be a bot-net using your resources.

Hey Rohime, thanks for the reply,

Well i usually run Autodesk Maya, Photoshop, and Zbrush, as my pain production software. of course chrome is usually running, and outlook. that's pretty much my daily software, an occasional utorrent on for downloads.

I have formatted recently so no antivirus up yet, but windows defender is updated (no idea if its any good) and scans are clean.
