I would suggest getting an Nvidia GTX 1060, 6gb. The EVGA SC edition is a pretty solid option. https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Support-Graphics-06G-P4-6163-KR/dp/B01IPVSLTC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1488383074&sr=8-2&keywords=evga+gtx+1060

They have awesome customer service too, speaking from personal experience.

Wait for Amd Vega to Come out and see what they bring in the mid range market. Amd seems very competitive this year and with any luck they will beat nvidia this year plus vega comes out this month

The lowest end vega card is supposed to out perform the 1080 and the highest will far out perform the titan xp. 12.5 teraflops

I don't think that's true. What's your source?

yeah that seems a bit off, i was sure i heard that the top-end Vega was going to beat the titan xp but the other's are just going to compete with the GTX 60/70/80 cards

leaks from November for the 12.5 teraflops on the highest end card. And the out performance of the 1080 was on a live test back in november between alpha vega 10 and 1080

Teraflops have nothing to do with actual performance. I mean yes maybe they can contest the 1080 but we don't know how many VEGA models will be released.

Also let's dont forget that Doom benefits AMD cards.

Oh but they have everything to do with performance. Ever used a cs workstation with low teraflops?

I'm sure VEGA will be a beast of a card/s. That's a given. But I don't know if a mid range model will be released.

They will sure need something to contest with the 1070 though. Not just the 1080.

Yeah R9 is still a beast. A power hungry one, but still a beast nonetheless.

Thats Exactly What im Saying the 1080 and the Titan XP are the only SINGLE cards that can run doom Vulkan 4K 60fps or higher thats why Vega is supposed to be so powerful
