Windows Unlock

So to start off i want to say that i just joined the forums, but i watch linus tech tips for over 4 years now.
I kept wandering for a way to unlock your computer using different methods and with windows companion thing recently implemented new apps and programs should come soon.
But if your phone has a mac address that is not changing and it is connecting to the same network as your pc, i was wandering if there is a program/app that unlocks your computer when it detects your phone on the same network.

BTProximity used to do this, with Bluetooth instead of wifi. The app has been discontinued but maybe you can still download it somewhere...

ye i have a desktop pc and i don't want to buy a dongle and have my bluethooth on my phone constantly on
