Practice soldering

I need to solder some things for a project with a raspberry pi, but want to practice first. Does anyone know a good little practice project which involves soldering and is not too expensive?

Do you want to practice through hole or SMT Soldering? There are many kits available on eBay for less than 5 dollars. I won recommend using leaded solder for hobby use.
