I bought a lenovo pc on chrsitmas for my mother with an i5 6400. Since it doesnt have any warranty after 30 days she cant return it. The pc out nowhere stopped working. When she went to turn it on the computer turned on but no signal would show up and the windows sound didn't come up through the speakers. She says the computer does sound on (fan running) but the monitor doesnt react. Im guessing that maybe the problem is the motherboard but im not savvy enough to think of many other options. I think maybe the motherboards port died or maybe the motherboard itself died. She told me the computer was acting weird 2 days ago when she turned it on but she restarted it and it was fine again. Ill upload the pictures she sent me of what it was doing. Any help? Ideas?

Thanks in advance.

It appears as though the monitor is working, but there's some kind of graphical glitch going on. Try going into your BIOS and see if the issue persists. If not, then it's probably an issue within Windows. If you wanted to diagnose that further, then get a portable distro of Linux onto a USB and boot off of that to see if those glitches still show up. If you still see those issues within the BIOS and a different OS, then it's probably some kind of hardware issue.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.
