I recommend this one...

Although in my opinion, I would go for 16GB RAM as opposed to 8GB from personal experience. The second option has a large 6M vs 4M cache and NVIDIA GPU. Definitely a plus. Also HIGHLY advisable to get a Solid State Drive as your primary drive. If you do, you'll never go back. I am assuming that these are 17" laptops with the dedicated cards?

I do a lot of the saem stuff myself and I am running a Kaby Lake i5-7600 with 16GB RAM and Integrated Graphics up until the other day I needlessly purchased a 1050 Ti 4GB SSC to play a few games over my previously used GTX 460. All this of course in a desktop.

Are you sure you got the model right on the 6200HQ? I can't seem to find it anywhere online.

This is the closest comparison I can come up with:

http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-6300HQ-vs-Intel-Core-i7-7500U/m38166vsm171274

There are 2 6200 and 6300. I am in contact with Dell Exclusive Store here.

62/6300HQ, pick the cheapest

Slightly change in configuration. I got a call from dealer and he messed up in RAM type. With 6200/6300 HQ RAM is DDR3 NOT DDR4. Will it be fine in comparison with 7500U with DDR4 RAM?

How much performance we gain in DDR4 in comparison to DDR3?

Still, DDR4 doesn't offer much over DDR3.

Check this: http://www.anandtech.com/show/9483/intel-skylake-review-6700k-6600k-ddr4-ddr3-ipc-6th-generation/15

It shows 6700K desktop chip with DDR3 and DDR4.

idk

Thanks a lot buddy for the info.

I am now more or less leaning towards below configuration:

99% CHANCE:

Dell Inspiron:

Intel Core i5 6th Gen (6300HQ, 3.2 GHz, 6M Cache)

8GB DDR3L 1600Mhz RAM

1TB 5400 rpm SATA Hybrid Hard Drive with 8GB Cache

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960M 4GB GDDR5

1% CHANCE:

Dell Inspiron:

Intel Core i7 7th Gen (7500U, 3.5 GHz, 4M Cache)

8GB, 2400MHz, DDR4 RAM

1TB 5400 rpm SATA Hybrid Hard Drive with 8GB Cache

AMD Radeon™ R7 M445 Graphics with 4GB GDDR5

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks once again!

Hello Folks,

Thank you so much for your help in deciding a cpu of my need. I finally purchased a laptop with below configuration:

Dell Inspiron:

Intel Core i7 6th Gen (6700HQ, 2.6 GHz, upto 3.5 GHz, 6M Cache)

8GB DDR3L 1600Mhz RAM in one slot and an empty slot for further expansion

1TB 5400 rpm SATA Hybrid Hard Drive with 8GB Cache along with one slot for SSD for further expansion

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960M 4GB GDDR5

I had planned to purchase Core i5 but on the day of purchase I got a deal for i7 at very good price so went for it :)

Thanks to each and every one of you once again.
