Is It Worth the Upgrade?

What it be worth the hassle for exchanging my mobo + cpu for an intel Intel Core i3-6100 SkyLake 3.7 GHz and a Gigabyte GA-B250M-DS3H  mobo? (would there be an significant performance difference with it)

This will all be in the purpose for trying to minimize the bottlenecking on a GTX 970

 

I currently have 

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 overclocked at 4.2 GHz

Mobo: Gigabyte Z97MX- Gaming 5

I'd say yeah, but save your money and buy a cheap i5 and a locked h110 mobo instead. 

G3258 is crap nowadays.

It would be an upgrade, but not a huge one. Unless you can find the combo for a super good price I wouldn't bother. I'd wait and see how much the Ryzen 4 core chips cost.

I would be wasting more money trying to get those parts
