PC not turning on

From my last thread, I was recommended to replace the motherboard. I upgraded it to a LGA 1150 with an i5 4690k. Now it makes a soft click each second and it doesn't start. Any other ideas?

Is the power supply on? Have you plugged all power in correctly?

The soft click is coming from the little speaker you install into the motherboard and the power supply is on. Everything is plugging in correctly

usually right next to the power cable.

It's just an on/off switch, it's on.

read through the other thread briefly. You didn't mention what PSU you have, or how old it was.

It's an EVGA bronze 500w PSU and I just got it last November

it sounds to me that the board is not getting the voltage it's expecting, at least at the amperages it needs it at.

 

If you have access to a multi meter, load test the PSU to see if it's outputting the correct voltages.

I'll check that.. I just need to find it, I know I have one I just can't recall where I last left it
