Hi. I watched a video on the youtube(i dont wanna give the channel's name or video link). That guy doing a combination with AMD Athlon X4 750K CPU and MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Motherboard as the last 2GB Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X Graphics Card. There's no ssd including this system build. And with this build he gets 70+ FPS At Battlefield 3 Ultra 1080P Settings.

Here's my question. I'm living at Turkey and we dont have AMD Athlon X4 750K CPU on markets or sites. I cant purchase from amazon europe too cause of high customs duty. But i can buy this cpu AMD Athlon II Trinity X4 740 FM2 4MB 3.2GHz (http://www.teknobiyotik.com/donanim/islemci-cpu/amd-athlon-ii-trinity-x4-740-fm2-4mb-3-2ghz-dort-cekirdekli-65w-islemci.html)(sorry i'm newbie at forum, if links are restirected i can remove it.)(Excuse 2 about link is at Turkish launguage) . So i'm thinking;

  • CPU: AMD Athlon II Trinity X4 740 FM2 4MB 3.2GHz
  •
  • motherboard: ASUS A85XM-A AMD A85X SOKET FM2
  •
  • GPU:ASUS GTX560Ti 448 Cores (Which i'm using now)
  •
    •
    • With this CPU-MB-GPU combination , can i play Battlefield 4 at 1366x768 on medium or high or something .I'm waiting for your help. Thanks for reading.

This guy is using a somewhat similar system see if this satisfies you enough but I'd say yeah you could do it..

The videocard you are using is going to be the most limiting factor in your setup anyway. If you have some money left (after purchasing the cpu and mobo) I would consider spending some on a higher tier videocard.. But it should be able to do it

Yarrrr, ye be warned lily-livered scallywags

This can satisfy me . But i'm curious about CPU and GPU combination . Because i'm using AMD Athlon II X3 425 2.7 Ghz cpu and it's overloading while i'm playing Battlefield 3 cause of my GPU i think. So, that cpu that i gave at the my first comment can handle my GPU or i can see same performance with that guy's system ?  And please note that , I'm using 1366x768 18.5" Screen.

It should run battlfield 4/3 at around 30fps or more, pretty average. So don't expect crazy performance but it can handle it most definitely.  I wouldn't say ultra 1080 would be the best option but medium should be a breeze.

Thanks. I'm not a like "High-Graphic Maniac" but sometimes it needs it. I think my screen's resulotion will be enough for that system. Thank you for helping.

Why don't you try unlocking the 4th core of your cpu first?

What ? Is there anything like 4h core on my cpu ? And isnt it risky ?

I'm not to sure, but I do know unparking cores can be risky, never unlocked them though.  But to me, the manufacturer makes them that way to make sure they are stable and secure.  If you mess about with it and don't fully know what your doing...  you could seriously loose a CPU that was bought with your hard earned money

Usually, 3 cores amd cpus are just 4 cores cpus, which have a "weaker core". Sometimes, they even are perfectly healthy 4 cores cpu they rebrand to sell them. You can look for tutorials on how to do it, they will explain it better than me.

And it is true you can lose your cpu. But if you are going to buy one anyways, it might save you some money. I'm just sayin'.

Hmmm.... 270x (7950?) and 70 fps + on ultra settings? Seems totally legit.
