How to use unallocated space

Hey guys

I am trying to install windows 7 in a new 2tb hard drive and trying to make 4 partition. When I make 3 partitions then on 4th one (unallocated space 465.7 gb) the "new" option does not appear. How to use that unallocated space for 4th partition please tell me.

Because its a new drive and I want 4.

Just fyi, partitions don't make your hard drive any faster.

I know that. I just want 4 partitions. If you don`t know how to do that then stop replying.

Well, what file system are you using?

Some old core 2 duo. Installing 64 bit version.

NTFS, FAT 32?

You just messed up somewhere . Try googling your problem or search youtube and watch how to create partions on windows 7.

He didn't mess up. Windows is quirky when trying to create more than 3 partitions.

He wants to know what File System you are trying to use for the partitions.  You have to be using NTFS for your main Windows partition.

Desktop: Intel Core i7-6700K, ASUS Z170-A, ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 Ti, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512 GB Samsund 840 Pro, Seasonic X series 650W PSU, Fractal Design Define R4, 2x5TB HDD

Hypervisor 1: Intel Xeon E5-2630L, ASRock EPC612D8, 16GB DDR4 ECC RAM, Intel RT3WB080 8-port RAID controller plus expansion card, Norco RPC-4020 case, 20x2TB WD Red HDD

Other spare hypervisors: Dell Poweredge 2950, HP Proliant DL380 G5

Laptops: ThinkPads, lots of ThinkPads
