Will you guys just help me and tell me if this is compatible?

Already have a hard drive and DDR3 1600mhz RAM

I5-3470
Intel G12527-310 Socket LGA1155 Motherboard - DQ67SW
Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz Vengeance Memory x2

Cooler Master Hyper 212X Air CPU Cooler

Aerocool QS240 Gaming M-ATX Case
EVGA 100-W1-0500-K3 500 W W1 Series Budget ATX PC Power Supply - Black

This is on a tight budget and it will run games (when I get a RX470)

but this is what I want, so will it be compatible? I appreciate your help :)

I was honestly expecting a "it won't be good enough for that" but I'm a lot happier now you said that.

So for £194 (before GPU) its a good deal?

It's a very decent quad-core, better than anything I could come up with for 200GBP before GPU new.

idk

So you have a hard drive and 8GB of DDR3 RAM.

The CPU, motherboard, case, power supply and CPU cooler are what you are buying for 200 GBP?

I still game on an IvyBridge i5 (3570K), it is still a very capable architecture.  As long as the parts are in working order, your gaming experience won't be terrible with most titles.

The power supply is bad, I would not offer more than 10-15 GBP for that thing... and would avoid it entirely.

I would try to bring the price down.  The CPU is the only "good" thing worth looking at.  Since those motherboards are hard to find a good deal on, I guess that board is worth about 35-50 GBP.

What power supply would you recommend for about £40 (including postage) ?

+vote for the Super Flower unit, they're a great OEM - while they do sound like a no-name, they make high end PSUs for multiple manufacturers.

idk

The internal components of cheaply made PSUs are not rated well for heat and longevity.  If you try to push the limits of these lower end PSUs, they will die a quick death.  A lot of the time, the rated output wattage is not what they can actually deliver.

This PSU, for example, will only provide 360W to the 12v rail.  This rail being responsible with powering the CPU/GPU.  As it heats up, the chance for failure will go up as the internal components are only tested at a specific temperature.

There is a lot of information regarding what makes a good power supply, I am not well versed in the field.

There are good reviewers/testers all over the web:  JohnnyGuru, PCPerspective and such.

There is no reason not to check places like this before you buy anything:  http://www.jonnyguru.com/
