So, i was looking at the AMD a10-7860k and the performance is no joke.

It got a 33FPS average in GTA 5 at 1080p

And for $100 is it worth picking up?

Well it depends, do you plan to add a dedicated GPU into the system? If you do, then no, it isn't worth it cause you can have the Pentium G4560 for 60$ which is the current budget king of CPUs, however if you're planning on gaming on the iGPU then the A10 will smash the Pentium.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 Motherboard: MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION
AIO: Corsair H150i Pro RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic PSU: Corsair RM850x White

Well a Pentium G4500 + rx460 4GB = $170

And the AMD 7860k = $100

So its cheaper, but is it better?

No, the RX 460 is much more powerful. By like 250% comparing to the iGPU on the A10. It's a Pentium G4560 btw, only this one is good cause it has HyperThreading.
