Cleaning hard drive

i am trying to erase everything from my computer because it seems to be running slow if i decide to boot from the windows disc and re install windows 8 will it delete everything from the hard drive???

You'll need a flat heads crew driver a cup of water dawn soap and a soft microfiber cloth

Just restore your computer to factory default - It'll delete everything and reinstall windows without having the need for a disk.

If you delete the partitions during the installer, it will delete everything.

It will do exactly that. Backup and install windows again. Or just, you know, cleanup unnecessary programs, look at your task manager and figure out which programs are there that you don't want. Also, sort out your boot programs in task manager.

You don't need to "clean" your hard drive.....

If you do reinstall windows and have a flash drive or a second partition on your hard drive or an external had drive or something I strongly recommend downloading all the drivers for your components as well as getting a ninite installer with everything you need.  Speeds up the set up quite a bit.
