Kaby vs Sky

Is there any reason at all to get a skylake over kaby? There's a 25 bucks difference, pretty much the same price. I heard the kaby had some issues with heating etc, does skylake have this too?

 

In other words: For the same price, should I ever pick skylake?

im rocking skylake and ahd no issues whatsoever, the cpu reaches 70c max using a 212 evo. It also does not bottleneck the gpu (1060) in cpu intensive games.

I was also thinking of a 212 evo as watercooling kinda scares me

I used to have a custom waterloop with chinese parts, that was real scary. but AIO's are leaktested and some companies like corsair even have a waranty incase of leaks on the pc parts.

Would you say i need watercooling for these cpus if i intend to oc?

kaby is better then sky but dont upgrade to kaby if u already have sky

If an i3-7100 (Kaby Lake) and an i3-6100 (Skylake) are the same price, for example, then get the Kaby Lake processor.  Otherwise, it's just a matter of whichever one is cheaper.  Really, there is little performance difference between the two processor lines.
