Hey guys,

I am building my first build very soon. I want to start buying my parts before the end of February.

My budget is about 4000$ for this first build. I have chosen my RAM and will not change it (I know RAM is a controversial topic, so we'll leave it at that"."), everything else I will consider changing. Right now, I really enjoy looking at liquid builds and I've watched many of hours of "how to" & liquid cooling builds. The only case I fancy for liquid cooling is the Lian-Li PC-011 because of its tempered glass on the front and left-side, but it's very expensive at 299.99$+tax&shippingfromUS. My second choice would be NZXT S340 Elite because of the the tempered glass on the side and its sleek design.(I don't like the top as much tho and there's not much space for reservoir/pump)

The case and cooling solution are puzzling me so much because of me being new and the amount.(I could crossfire/SLi if I don't go with liquid cooling right?) IDK

I want to future proof it, I might add new graphics or 2. Don't know where to go from here.

Also, I know amd products are not out yet. I'm just guessing, I will see whichever is better and by accordingly when the time come. (intel/amd / nvidia/amd)

Shipping also varies from suppliers to suppliers.

I've made a RGB build with the same RGB RAM but a faster model:

Feel free to refine it to your liking.

Nice suggestions, tho it would cost 5,800$CAD haha, I might buy that PSU.  I opted for the Lian Li case.

I can't believe how inexpensive the peripherals are in the US. GAWD.

OK so i see your from Canada, but can you please explain what you intend the computer build for? like is it a pure gaming & entertainment build, or do you plan to do some graphics / web / audio work?

$4000 CAN dollar is going to get you a really nice build and you already have the Ram & Case.

Do you have preferences to makes or colour scheme etc.

Do you need monitor / keyboard / mouse etc?

Thanks

I'm building this for mainly gaming, maybe streaming, hosting, video editing, cad and programming. I don't need a mouse, keyboard or monitor. But if I can get my build at a certain price, I would like to consider, "upgrading" those peripherals.

Right now I have

Razer Naga Epic Chroma Wireless

Corsair K70 Red Backlit silent cherry switches

Samsung 1080p 27" (keen on upgrading to 4k 144hz 30"+)

All that and no desktop. Used to have a laptop for these peripherals but I sold that to make a desktop. Hah.

Just bought 1 x PSU EVGA g3

What spec is the PSU?

I think looking at what you want to achieve in this build and its your first, then i would recommend going for an X99 build putting the budget mainly towards the m/board & CPU.

you have a good monitor and just need to add another set of memory for he X99. and get a half decent GPU that later on you can always upgrade and go SLi.

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/DjBcVY

^^^ i made a specs list here, it will leave you money for extra fans and if you wanted an extra GPU or you could also go for a PCI-e SSD for main drive but they will add a lot to the cost.

everything will be RGB and should work to a sweet system, i recommend a gold series power supply.

and if you want later add in water cooling to the GPU's

How about  Plextor PX-512M8PeGhttp://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/plextor_m8pe_512gb_m2_nvme_ssd_review,1.html has some nice things to say about it.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
