Need "Wireless" Led's

xDylanio

Hello, so what I am looking for is like an led strip, but I don't need the power supply. I know this probably isn't possible but I just want to know. The reason for this is that my room theme is red. But only two fourth's of my room has red led's. So I was thinking of adding led's to my wall hanging's. (To make it better) But one question that came up is the wire that would connect to those led's. I don't know what I could do to make the painting shine red wihout having a wire coming from it. I'm open to any ideas thanks.

Unless you have conduits behind the walls, I can't think of any clean solution aside from batteries of course, which is not generally very good.

:P sorry I copied and pasted the letters from a video, but basically they are like circle led things. They are battery operated, but are also wireless. I don't know if I could make them work tho

If you meant wireless control, then I misunderstood you. There are endless ways of controlling LED strips without wires, from the super cheap ebay controllers, all the way to DIY IOT solutions. Still, I would avoid using batteries as much as possible if I were you. They only bring problems in the long run, not to mention charging.

No you thought right. I want an led strip, but I don't want to have a power supply for it cause then if I put it up on the wall then I would have to plug it into a power port

Other than as mentioned by Dany to punch holes in the wall for power cables or running conduit there aren't really any good options. There is such thing as flat power tape which you can use if you want something super low profile.

Well, as I said, batteries should be avoided as much as possible, they only complicate matters most of the times. If you really must not have cables at all, then a cheap and acceptable solution would be something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/0-24V-5V-12V-19V-18650-Battery-Charger-Power-Bank-Box-For-Phone-Laptop-Tablet-/172334352048?hash=item281fed86b0:g:o18AAOSwFV9X0Rf7. This pack works with the ever-popular 18650 batteries and will output 12v (for the LED strips) and has some nice features (allegedly). Still, I would strongly recommend you to run cables, It will be cheaper and better.

Cheers!

See if mean running the cables thru the wall, then I understand, but the thing is the nearest power place is atleast 3 ft away from where I want to put the led strips. Even If I did put them thru the wall, i'd be using 3 ft of led lights.

What? Why would you need use 3ft of LED strip through the wall? Dude you need to run WIRES through the wall, not the LEDs.

That's what I meant. Okay so I have a power supply right. It's not as easy as running it thru the wall, cause even if I did the next power outlet near that would be 3 ft away

So just make a hole in the wall to fish the cable through to the LED's using fish tape, you can use any regulated 12V supply something like this would be perfect small compact and out of the way.
