Case modding

I am modifying an old PC case I had in the garage. It is an old Compaq.

All hardware will be new. I will be increasing the numbers of fans it can hold. One will be on the side panel. Maybe two or one that will fill the empty space for intake with a dust filter. There is a good chance I might paint it. If I do, what color?

Is there any advice when is comes to modding an old stock PC case. I picture it as modding an old car.

Paint it, cut a rectangle in the middle to make a plexiglas window, and leave the "compaq" logo on the plexiglas window but paint it red.

The power supply I got glows green. So maybe make the from all black and a green fan on the side. A splinter cell theme.
