LGA1366 VS FCLGA1366 ?

Plan - Make an inexpensive PC

 

Direction - Xeon 5650 OR Xeon 5670

 

Issue - Is there a difference between Lga1366 and FClga1366 motherboard? 

 

Fear - Do not want to buy incompatible parts. 

 

Need - Help and suggestions on which motherboard would work with above-mentioned processors.

They are the same thing, so you're good in that regards.

FCLGA is just a more full name of socket, means Flip-Chip LandGridArray. So all of Intel LGAs are FCLGAs.

thanks i had wondered what the FC stood for, never enough to worry about incompatibility though mind you. still good to know
