Right, so with the new 7th gen i3, i5, and i7 such as the 7700K, they use the lga1151 socket, which has *one* more pin than 1150, which is fairly old by now. I have an i5 4430 which has 1150 socket, but wouldn't it be cool if they made a 4-core with hyperthreading (if that's possible) or 8 core extreme edition i7 for the 1150 socket? I would buy.

yup, i run a quadcore xeon in my work rig on LGA1150, it's still on par with Xlake i7's
