No need to ryze to the 8c/16t, even a cheap 4c/4t could give you an upgrade.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

You won't even need an octacore Ryzen CPU.  If AMD's Ryzen CPU performance benchmark back in December meant much of anything, they'll basically be releasing Skylake i5 equivalents for around $100.

Edit:  This is also based on the fact that the quad-core R3 Ryzen CPUs are supposed to complete with the Kaby Lake i3 and Pentium processors.

Goes to show how badly Intel have inflated their prices from their market domination.

well we dont even know how good are those new amd cpus. besides, 8 core amd fx cpus required a more expensive motherboard than an i5, despite having lower performance at the same price, and having a higher tdp.

they were slower, noisier, hotter, and more expensive.

ps: ive always been an amd fanboy, but lest be honest, they really lost the cpu war in the recent years

At least they had the balls to admit they sucked ;)

FX line started in 2011 so I'm sure there will be a massive improvement 6 years later.

yeah the thing is that when they first released the fx line it was ok, but then intel released new cpus and added new technologies, and amd just didnt do anything... it may have something to do with buying ATi and having worse products than nvidia... it was a big bistake i think

Ryse is a pretty fun game. The multiplayer is pretty dead, almost as much as Emperor Nero, but the single player is fun.

I would have definitely PUNished you guys. Like my A&P teacher breathing new life in our pulmonary chapter and then beating us in the heart chapter. I don't want to muscle in on this thread, but I loved the musculoskeletal system.

Not really.

i7s have, for the most part, always been around the $300 mark.

i5s have usually had the largest range of pricing around the 180-250 range.

i3s have been 100-140 and Pentiums below 80.
