I opened periscope to watch someone, I touched the screen and it froze for a second before hard powering off. The screen just went black after a momentary lag and now it won't power on and doesn't make any noise or vibrate when I plug it into wall power. I have already followed this tutorial thing " Turn off your Samsung GalaxyNote 5 completely. Press and hold the Volume Up and the Home buttons first, and then press and hold the Power key. Keep the three buttons pressed and when 'Samsung GalaxyNote5' shows, release the Power key but continue holding the other two.Feb 5, 2016

Still nothing, how screwed am I?

I had to take it to the store and get it replaced, luckily I had insurance.

i looked up a video on how to remove the battery and you have to use a heat gun and I'm sure that voids the warranty so I'd rather not try

ok then, so you tried getting into bootloader correct? try charging it for a couple hours and leave the power cable plugged in and booting it up again
