7600K overclocking advice

Hi,

 

I am new to overclocking and want to find out, would I be able to overclock the below rig?

 

Intel Kaby Lake i5-7600k

Cooler Master Hyper 212X

8GB DDR4 2133 (2 x 4gb)

Gigabyte B150M-D3H

 

If so, what would you recommend the settings to be or where to start.

no, unless you bclk overclock. you need a z270 board to overclock.

You'd need a new motherboard first, and won't be able to push it too far on a 212 evo.

You can't overclock with the current motherboard you have. You need to have a Z series motherboards to be able to overclock CPU's with a K next to the number for example:
Intel Core i7 7600K needs to have a MSI Z270 Motherboard to be able to overclock.

I dont think that board has the BCLK, I know asrock B150M Hyper does.

Thank you for the responses.

 

It seems I made a mistake in my motherboard choice.

 

I however saw settings for BCLK in the BIOS.

 

Would I then be able to do a basic overclock?
