Hey look another BF4 error thread!

So actually this issue I am having has nothing to do with performance, netcode, or instability. What I am actually having trouble with is the controls. I normally bind the gadgets 1/2 to my two mouse side buttons however the game won't let me bind both of the buttons. I have two mice(mouses?) both with the same amount of buttons but neither of them work when I have both bound. It is always one button or the other but never both.

 

Just to clarify the two buttons I am referring to are the browser forward and back buttons on the side.

 

An example just to make sure people understand:

 

I am an engineer with a rocket launcher and a repair tool. I hit the browser forward button and I pull out my rocket launcher. But I hit the back button and I do not pull out the repair tool.

Or other times i pull out the repair tool but I can't use the rocket launcher.

I had this issue if I didn't assign my back and forward buttons to "Mouse button 4" or "Mouse button 5" in my mouse software first.

Ill look into this when I get home. To my knowledge it is assigned to 4 and 5 however it shows up in the keybinds menu as 3 and 4.

Okay so it appears I cannot do this using logitech's software. Anything else I can try?

 

Also I won't bind the buttons to another key since I rely so heavily on the forward back buttons in normal web browsing.

Well this is odd. The mouse button 4 wont even show up at all in that settings editor you linked. I dont know why that is since it clearly shows up in other games.
