Hello everyone!

I am new to the LinusTechTips forum, I literally created an account a couple of minutes ago, and I hope I can find help here and help others!

I am only 14 years old but I have saved up quite a bit of money and so, with the help of my parents, I hope that I can buy some PC parts for Christmas and build y very first PC (woohoo!)

The parts I want to buy are:

Hadron Air Mini-Itx Case

Asus gtx 770

Intel 4770k

Asus Maximus VI impact motherboard

Samsung EVO 120gb SSD

1TB WD blue drive (or Green)

16gb Kingston 2400mhz RAM

I know many of the parts may seem like a bit of an overkill (like the 2400mhz RAM or the 4770k) however I have my reasons and this is not the reason I am making this post. My problem is that my parents are divorced and I spend sometime at my Dad's house and some time at my Mum's house (usually 2 weeks) and that cycle continues over and over and over...

Now, my problem is that I am not sure if it is safe to move the PC this often, even if it only means moving it a couple of meters from my room to the boot. I am not too sure if I should make the PC or go for a good laptop, the laptops for the price that I am looking at are terrible compared to their PC counterparts (the price being around £1100), I am leaning towards the PC and I really just want someone to assure me that moving a PC this often will not damage it.

Please, do not try to convince me to get a 4670k and save money on RAM in order to get a better graphics card, or to get the Prodigy case instead of the Hadron air. I really tried changing what is in my Amazon basket for a couple of months now before finding the optimal configuration for me.

Sorry for the lengthy post but I do like my paragraphs and I can't wait to hear some feedback!

(Also, if their is a thread about this before then I am really sorry for creating this one but I could not find any other)

If you don't drop it you will be fine. When building use plenty of cable ties so there is no chance of connectors coming loose. :D

You will be fine when moving, just don't touch any open electrical sockets while moving the case. I know you said no recommendations, but if you haven't bought the motherboard yet, the Hadron is made for the Z87 Stinger (optimal cable locations).
