For the life of me, i cannot figure this one out.

This what iam running :

i54570 non-K
Asrock z87e-itx

8G Avexir ram in two 4G sticks

XFX R280x 3Gb

550W psu

have recently updated windows 10 to the latest build (Feb 2017)

Play a lot of different games from Dayz to Civ6 to Stellaris etc. for whatever reason i get a few minutes of gameplay (sometimes less) before the PC resets without warning or any noticeable signs of stress.

I have been running hwmonitor and also aida64 to try and locate any temperature spikes but nothing runs over 70c at any point (cpu or gpu) during stress tests. I have had this setup for 2 or 3 years now and have never had any overheating issues. It is quite hot where i am at the moment and i thought that may be whats causing the issue but i dont really see any signs of that being the case.

running latest gpu drivers, even tried older ones to test if it was those. tried an older version of windows 10 still nothing different. Have pulled apart PC and reassembled twice now with no change what so ever.

CPU cores at idle are about 42 degress C - cpu package is about 45, gpu idle is 50. I have tried under clocking with Intel ETU and also frame limiting with AMD overdrive which gets me a minuscule improvement but doesn't fix the issue.

Iam willing to conclude that it may still be a heat issue, i just cant see any real evidence of it.

Does anyone have any ideas on what else i may have missed or haven't tried yet?

Cheers,

P
