Hi

I just bought the Acer XG270HU everything works fine until is turn freesync on. When I start a game with freesync on (I tried The Witcher 3 and Dota 2) the screen goes black for a few seconds before coming back normal. Then whenever I change menus, or load a game the same happens again. I can play games, but the blackscreens in between are very annoying. My graphics card is the R9 390 by the way.

Any help welcome.

Thanks in advance

Do the games run with FreeSync enabled?

If yes, then the monitor is simply changing modes. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the input guys.

I have been able to fix the issue. I had no idea I had to change the monitors refresh rate in windows. Setting this to 144hz seems to have fixed the issue.

I 'm now able to play games with freesync on and a color depth of 8 bit.

Edit: seems like the 8 bit part isn't right, after some time the screen starts to flicker and turn black, had to turn in down to 6 bit like suggest before, too bad. Anyone know why this is or whether it can be fixed?
