Ahhh thank you! :) currently im using a Corsair CX430M and the fan rattles and whines

i had the 850W model and it did that after a few months. When I looked up a possible fix I found the green labelled corsair PSU have a reputation for failing and taking other components with it so I replaced it immediately

This is bizarre as the CX850M is actually a fair bit better than the CX430M/500M/600M and shouldn't really have a ton of issues but it is a sleeve-bearing fan so eh

as a note: The fan on my G2 750W Gold PSU is pretty much the loudest fan in my system. so if you want a silent PSU be lenient on the power capacity so the fan shouldn't even crank on at all.

Wow, you must have some quiet fans in your system! The G2 is super, super quiet due to how large the fan is. You sure your CPU cooler or something isn't just a little loud?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

truthfully, i referenced idle noise, not noise at load. but my system doesn't actually use much power so 750 is a little overkill, but i got it while it was on sale.
