Anything I should have changed?

PSU isn't very good and the cooler you have will not be enough for you to overclock, let alone being able to keep the stock frequency without being loud. Why no SSD?

Cooler is something I plan to change very soon to something from bequiet to make it much quieter, but I did achieve an overclock of 4.2ghz at 60  F, and the reason I dont need or want an ssd is because I borrowed my brothers ssd with nothing on it to test how much of a difference it would make on my pc and it changed absolutely nothing, literally booted up in the same amount of time of like 5 seconds and the game loading times were not faster.

100_0047.JPGIs there anything I could of had better with this budget than what I currently have and is there anything I can add? DO NOT SUGGEST AN SSD PLEASE.

Also, I know I could have gotten a better case, but I was stupid.

Pc Part List

Edit: I have already purchase and put together all these items, I would just like to know if there was anything better I could have gotten for the same price.

That was actually my second choice, got the sabre because of a friends recommendation, and I am glad I did, while the G402 does have superior tracking it is WAY to small for my hand.

Well, the case is not the worst, but the cable management in it is TERRIBLE. And as an afterthought I could have gone with the NZXT s340.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

WOOH BOI LET'S CHANGE SOME THINGS HERE

First of all, I'm going to suggest an SSD. Your whole system will remain snappy forever if you have an SSD in it. Unless you have one lying around that you can use in this system I would HIGHLY recommend getting one. I got one for my SATA 2 laptop a couple years ago and to this day I refuse to use a system with a hard drive as a boot drive unless I'm force to. Night and day difference.

The PSU is mediocre. An EVGA GS/GQ/B2/G2/G3 would be a much better choice. 550W is plenty.

The Hyper T4 I actually own and can comment on. DON'T BUY ONE. The Intel mounting system is actually retarded. You can't mount this CPU cooler on a motherboard with VRM heatsinks without the cooler being placed on the CPU die at an awkward angle (bad for cooling) or without shimmying the VRM heatinks around to get the cooler to fit (yikes!). Do yourself a favor and get a Cryorig H7. Much better for overclocking anyways. I do want to note that, for the T4, I do have a micro ATX motherboard so this problem I face may not be faced by you since you chose an ATX board, but that said, it's just not a very good cooler and I would never buy one again.

I'm wondering why you need an optical drive? I use own myself but many people do not and if you're buying it just to install Windows then let it be known that you can do that with a USB flash drive.

WOOH BOI LET ME ADDRESS SOME OF YOUR COMMENTS HERE

First of all, I said not to suggest an ssd, I said this because 1. I did not see any improvement in loading times, and 2. I would spend the money on better raw performance rather than loading times.

Second, I got an overpowered PSU because it was on sale and looked very good at the time, also, I did not see any bad reviews on it (Things have changed apparently)

Thirdly, I agree with you on the cpu cooler, the reason I got the T4 is because it was only $15 and was really cheap, I will probably change it within the next month to a nice air cooler, AIO water cooler, or a custom water cooling loop (If I can fit the pump and reservoir where my drive cages are and have enough (I am getting another $100 soon and will upgrade my pc more)). And p.s.,I did not have any problems with putting the cpu cooler onto my motherboard like you did.

And lastly, I did not buy the optical drive, I stole it from my brothers pc to install the OS because I felt it would be easier than a usb flash drive

An SSD would improve load times of literally everything. Games would load faster, the OS would load faster, and the OS would feel faster for much, much longer with an SSD as opposed to when you have to defrag your HDD and make your entire system really slow while you do that, or your HDD gets cluttered with Windows crap. No such issues on an SSD. I can't even remember the last time I defragged. Seriously, once you go SSD you never go back. After putting a relatively "meh" SSD (Sandisk Ultra Plus) in my SATA 2 laptop I immediately bought the SSD that I have in my desktop now. Night and day difference. Makes maps load faster in games too which is good if you're like me and you instalock a character in Overwatch because you know you're probably better than others on your team with said character.

Yes, things have changed.

Oh, did you already buy the T4? Well, good luck with the mounting mechanism, I suppose. If you need help installing it feel free to PM me because there is a Youtube tutorial that goes through the paces but it actually does install the cooler incorrectly so you'll want to not use those xD

Ok, I've done the same from one of my old PCs.

1. I will probably get an ssd anyways to make Arma 3 run faster

2. I already installed the T4 BTW(The pc has already been setup for a few months, I just wanted input to as what I could have done better)
