hello, I am building a pc for a friend of mine, he is on a rather tight budget but I think I can build him a pc capable of running 1440p at 60fps max settings and get him a monitor for 1225 euro. (in the netherlands where I live it is more expensive because tax)

this are the parts I plan on using, but I am not 100% sure if this motherboard and CPU are good enough, and if I have enough case flow. (keep in mind the monitor will only be 60hz so the GPU will probably not be pushed all the way to it's max)

CPU: intel core I5-6400

Motherboard: MSI H110M ECO

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX, 8GB, DDR4

GPU: Zotac GTX1070 8GB Mini

PSU: corsair CX450M

case: bitfenix neos

HDD: seagate barracuda 1TB

cpu cooler: be quiet pure rock slim

2* 120mm casefans (1 intake + 1 exhaust)

Monitor: Acer G247HYUSMIDP

I would want an SSD in there but that is too expensive, we'll probably add it in the future.

the reason I am not going with an RX 480 is because that seems to have issues with powerdelivery on low end motherboards causing it to crash when under heavy load, and it is less powerfull and will in the future probably not be able to run any game on 60 FPS.

Is this a good build or should I just go with an RX 480, SSD and a better motherboard and CPU?

I also know ZEN is coming but my friend doesn't want to wait for that.

Overall looks OK but not perfect to me but I believe I can make it better. Where do you live? Judging by that motherboard you chose I can tell maybe you live in Netherlands or you are ordering from it.

So let me make something out for you

I do indeed live in the netherlands, I chose the motherboard because it is cheap and has 2 casefan headers

That was fixed a LOOOOOOOONG time ago, and it only affected 5-10yr old motherboards anyway.

Personal build >  New-ish AMD main gaming setup
