This build includes a GTX 1070 and a 1440p IPS monitor to go with it. Ditch the Wireless adapter and run an ethernet cable for better connection stability.

If you can't afford to go over $1600, ditch the SSD. If you play a lot of competitive shooters, change the 60Hz 1440p display to a 144Hz 1080p display.

I see that you have a 1070 and a better monitor, but the cpu is limited because of that and so is the ssd

Yeah, demonstrate the tangible benefits the additional speed provided by an 850 EVO to the average user.

They don't exist. The SSD PLUs might even outlast the 850 EVO, as it's an MLC SSD, and all of Samsung's EVO SSDs have been TLC (the 840, 850, and 750 at least).

The SSD Plus is TLC (I still would choose it over the EVO if it means OP can fit a 1070).

Or a compromise in the form of a Hynix SL308 which is stepping on the heels of the 850 EVO and cheaper (is it even available in Aus though?)

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

No, it's definitely an MLC SSD.

But 75hz and cheaper. 144hz costs too much even non UW ones

It's about $100 AUD more. Ditch the wireless adapter and the SSD and you can squeeze it in.

Wait, you're right. I wrote it off as TLC in my head because it uses a really crappy controller. I'll dig in further.

Actually it seems like the Ultra Plus is MLC and a worse controller than the Ultra II,

Here's a review saying that the SSD Plus is TLC

A few folks are saying that the new version of the SSD is TLC. Funny, because all Newegg listings have 'MLC SSD' in the title.

Goddammit SanDisk why are you doing this to us?

It could very well be MLC, but then where does Sandisk make money? It's consistently one of the cheapest SSDs in the market.
