DisplayPort went into HDMI mode?

So I noticed today that my MG279Q was ghosting for some reason. I went into Nvidia Control Panel to see what the refresh rate was and max it gave was 60Hz. Windows also reported a max refresh rate of 60Hz. Another interesting thing is that was also giving all of the HDMI options for color. I ended up creating a custom 1440p 144Hz resolution that fixed the issue but has anyone ever experience something like that before?

I've noticed mine has reverted back to 60Hz a few times, never paid attention to the colour stuff though. Sometimes I have to reset it through Nvidia Control Panel, sometimes doing it through the monitor works for me. No idea of the cause, but it doesn't happen too often.
