Hi all,

I noticed that I didn't have the RAPID Mode activated on my SSD. I have 2 Evo 840 SSDs, one for OS and one for the Games. I wanted to activate the RAPID Mode for both SSDs but the Samsung Magician tool told me it is only possible for one SSD. So I am wondering if it makes sense to activate it on my Gaming SSD? Will it boost the loading time in games? For example in BF1, when I join a map it takes about 10-15 sek. to start playing. Will it reduce the loading time maybe? But if I am not mistaking, I think that it does a lot of CPU operations and therefore my CPU will bottleneck the rest... I haven't checked the performances of my system when loading a map.

BTW, both SSDs are pluged into the 6GB/s Ports.

Thanks!

My Setup:
CPU: i7 4790 @3800 MHz, MB: MSI H87-G41, Grafik: Gigabyte GTX 1080TI, RAM: 2x 8GB DDR3 (1600), Storage: Samsung SSD 850 Evo

Most people don't. It's pretty useless and doesn't help at all.

Depends on the kind of work you do. It might reduce loading time of some apps etc cause it essentially uses your RAM to speed up the SSD.

But with 8GB of RAM I wouldn't use it, it increases RAM usage by a bit and 8GB isn't a lot nowadays (for gaming).
