games freeze always

I have a rig with windows 10 and a gtx 970 and everything was perfect before. Then I started connecting my pc to my tv when gaming and the screen resolutions started getting messed up everytime I do so. lately all games started to freeze only when playing on the tv. the game just freezes but I can ALT-TAB to windows. since 3 days, the same started to happen even on my pc monitor, where every game freezes after like 10-15 minutes. 

 

I'm checking the thermals and everything is perfect. This happens even with all games that I play (cs go, dyinglight, undertale ...etc)

Please help!!!

Have you install drivers?

I reinstalled nvidias drivers 3 times

Did you just reinstalled the nvidia software or uninstalled the drivers too? 

 

Go to the device manager and delete the GPU + all local drivers

yeah thats what I did. I also tried an older version of the drivers . just to check. all the same

When uninstalling drivers, use something like Display Driver Uninstaller, it's a free program that does a good job. Other than that, have you checked the specs on the TV? Make sure you have both things running at the same refresh rate, sometimes that's gotten the best of me.

I'm going to try it out.

both my pc and tv are running on 60Hz . also this is happening now on my monitor (not only the tv)

I used Display Driver Uninstaller and reinstalled the drivers again. still the same thing. after like 10-15 minutes of gaming the game freezes and I have to end its task.

 

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
