Second monitor not being detected

check the input on the monitor?

Hello folks,

So i've got a second monitor and right now I can't seem to connect it, i'm wondering if anyone is able to help figure out what may be wrong.

A few things:

-It is not in device manager

-It's OSD isn't coming up although when I press the buttons the screen brightens up (That's making me worried)

-Nvidia gtx 1080 with most recent drivers installed

Is there anything else I should check for?

I'm a spanner.

Switched the cables on the GPU output port but forgot to switch the cables around, yup, that cable is borked.

Thankfully I can use a spare HDMI cable for the other monitor with DP on the higher refresh rate monitor. Yikes. Going to check how it reacts to having both up now to confirm its just a broken wire.
