Hi. I've had this problem for a while but haven't found a solution.

Basicly the problem is this: After I've played for 15-20 minuter my PC will suddenly restart without any warning (although it sometimes says that I don't have enough memory available if I tab out) or BSOD. The EventViewer just tells me of a critical error (Kernel-Power 41 (63)). I've tried several searches but I've yet to come across a solution. I've come across alot of forums where people suspect their PSU's so I've included the values from BIOS.

Specs:

Intel i5 4670k @ 3.40GHz (reaches ~50 degress celcius during games)

Asus Z87-A EVGA GTX 770 (reaches 80 degrees celcius during games)

Corsair Vengeance DDR 1600MHz 2x4GB

Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250gb (Windows 10 Home)

EVGA SuperNova P2 650W

PSU reading in BIOS:

3.3V Voltage = +3.328V

5V Voltage = +5.040V

12V Voltage = 12.288V

BIOS is up to date and so are the drivers for audio and GPU.

Any ideas? I'm really frustrated by this situation.

this related to a thread yesterday?

heat. hot cpu/hot gpu/hot motherboard components.

try running the machine with 1 stick of ram. then move that stick to another slot and try again. then try the other stick.

Tried switching between the sticks. Games wouldn't launch with only one stick (4 gb) so couldn't really test it.

run memtest.

check to see what sound drivers you have installed and disable or uninstall the ones not used. ( device manager )/

Ran memtest86+. No errors.

Disabled a couple of Nvidia units (High Definition Audio and Virtual Audio Device) in the Device Manager. Only had one driver (version 6.01.7848) installed for my Realtek High Definition Audio unit which I got off Asus' website.

Edit: Disabling those Nvidia thingies didn't help. Any other ideas?

did you install any nvidia software other than physx driver and graphics driver?

it's hard to do stuff over the net. wonder how much W10 plays into this?

Nope.Yeah I've been wondering that too lately. Sadly I don't have a copy of Windows 7 lying around I could test.

Can be a overheating GPU. 80 celcius is on the hot side, so or it isn't cooling properly or you OCed it. You can try cleaning it from dust etc, and if you have OCed it you can experience a instable OC. So try to see if this then happens without OC.

Haven't OC'ed it but I'll give it a good cleaning.

Tried formatting and installed Windows again but that didn't work either.
