So when buying a laptop for university i found the best laptop for £500 the acer swift 3, comes with an i3 6100U, 128GB SSD, super super light and compact (which is key) and a 1080p display HOWEVER the one thing that is putting me off on buying this is it's ram quantity... 4GB of DDR4 RAM.

Would this be enough for my 5 years of a computing science course? Please note that anything big like huge programming tasks are done on the uni computers this laptop is mostly for notes, and for traveling to the university

There is a 8GB version but that is £200 more, and way out of my budget. All it comes with is an i5 instead of an i3 (which is nothing apart from speed in a laptop at this price) and 4GB more to me that is not value for money

So would 4GB be enough for my needs?
