I don't really know the difference between a dead and a stuck pixel, all i know is that i bought an Acer xb271hu a few weeks ago. I've been using it for almost a month now, and just today i realized 3 things. There are 2 weird pixels on the monitor, one is only noticeable on black screens and it has a dark blue color. The other one i only notice it on white screens and it has a pinkish color, it fades depending on the angle. I also noticed some kind of dirt stuck on the monitor, pretty common, i just wiped it with a piece of cloth thinking it was dust or something simple like that. I cleaned it with a little bit of pressure trying to get it all out, it was a little bit hard to clean. Once i look at the spot again, there's some kind of half-circle of weird looking pixels. I can't really explain how it looks, they don't look like dead pixels, they just have some kind of sparkle, shimmer effect. Any ideas on what's going on? How to fix it? Why is it happening now or what caused the damage over time?

PD: I looked at the monitor with a white background i could notice BOTH dead/stuck pixels and the weird circle thing.

I can't believe a 800$ product has such and awful QC. How they have been able to sell all those defective monitors and avoid a lawsuit is beyond me. I though the bad reviews were just exaggerations, they're not. PG279Q, XB271HU, pathetic QC. Monitors are supposed to outlast your PC, at this rate, i don't think this monitor is going to last a year without it getting unusable because of all the dead pixels.
