Rx 460 Mode 1 + 2

So I just noticed that on the pcb of my sapphire rx 460 nitro 4gb there is a mode 1 and 2 imprinted on. I don't mean a button or leds etc just an imprinting. Does anyone know what it means? Just curious. I'll see if I can get a picture.

 

The modes bit is in the bottom left of the picture

I think it's the BIOS switch (not sure).

I didn't know the 460 had a dual BIOS? What's the second one for?

Probaly for backup (If my first post is correct).
