Windows 8 Memory Usage

Recently installed Windows 8.1 after uninstalling 8 because of high memory usage for reasons I couldn't figure out. Was wondering if anyone has had the same issue and was able to fix it. I have 8 GB of RAM and right now it's at 80% usage with nothing open, Windows 7 would sit less then a gig with the same, If I restart my PC it's fine for a while then slowly builds up again.

scan system with maleware bytes maybe? Also enable secure boot makes it harder for maleware to infect systems.

This install was literally last night, and I've never had any malware on a virus or malware on my pc since 2007. Something else is up.

 

Malwarebytes found nothing per usual.
