COD GHOSTS Does Anyone know ?

Hey Just a quick question before you kill me for buying Ghosts It was a gift from my buddy for my birthday, today I decieded I was going to pre-load so I could enjoy the game for the one day that Ill play it my question is do I have to download the single player which is 28Gb's plus the multiplayer to play multiplayer or just the multiplayer which is 24.4 Gb's Thanks :D

steam treats them as different games, when I pre-ordered black ops 2 it was like that 

 i7 2600k , XFX R9 270x  , Corsair cx 500 ,  asrock z77 extreme 3 , 8 gb ripjaws x 1600 , 1 tb WD blue, Cooler master Haf 912

Alright guys I just didnt know if I had to download both them because 48 gbs is massive

Just for anyone wondering what I was I just talked to a guy in Auzze land and he said that he didnt have to download the single player to play MP
