Can you turn off the leds of a mouse

Hi,

I have build a red and black themed pc recently, but I did not have a decent mouse. I wanted to order one that was red and black themed, but one of my friends gave me his old mouse, that was good enough. The only problem is, that it has bright green led lights, that are annoying me a lot, if I sit in a dark room and since I live in the north its dark in the winter between 5 pm and 10 am it is annoying most of the time when I'm using my pc. Is there any way to disable led lights on the mouse? It didn't come with any software. I mean I could just break the led lights, but is the a proper way of doing it? The mouse model is zombee gm-1 if it makes any difference.

You could probably tape off the LED lights, assuming that they aren't in a place where the tape would bother you when using it.

If the manufacturer doesn't offer software, and I doubt Zombee do, and there's no physical switch on the mouse then no.

 

The neatest option would be to open up your mouse and cover the LEDs with something to block the light.

Or if you're very good with a soldering iron swap them for red ones.
