so a month or so ago I check the same site for the prices on the gtx 770 and it was around

400 euro.

it's less than 300 now it's like the same price the 760 had when it released in belgium

what happened?? I really start to doubt if I should upgrade to an r9 280x now

(pic taken on my moms pc btw, since I'm not allowed to take my custom build with me... so I had to edit this in paint :/)

so now I also wish to know which is better r9 280x or the gtx 770 ?

too lazy to search for some benchmarks now :)

NVIDIA had price drops after the new AMD cards came out.

Which is better now is really up to you, depending on what features you want. Though I'm not sure of benchmarks.

I'd get a 7970 if you can find it for cheap.

The shit ton of noise can be fixed via fan control software like MSI afterburner.

Set the curve so it doesnt spin so fast and loud, while keeping temps to your liking if not a little higher to keep it quieter.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

They trade blows in 1920x1080, the 280X is faster in 2560x1440.
The 280X has 50% more memory & more memory bandwidth, it's also slightly cheaper, it's overall the better choice.
Mantle is a bonus if you plan on playing any upcoming Frosbite 3 based games (BF4, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Need for Speed), the upcoming Thief game or Star Citizen.

It's better to buy in Belgium, I live in Limburg and bought my first GPU from Holland but when it broke after 1 year I didn't bother sending it in so instead I ordered a new card in a nearby store and they gave me a discount anyways ;p

The store in Holland was 4Launch and the store that I would suggest is Alternate but be sure to buy on the Belgian site - not the Dutch site.

alternate has insane prices... I compared them to the site I ordered my parts azerty.nl

and they easily ask 50 euro more for some products they even ask more for 'shipping' the  items to you so

azerty really is my favourite site in belgium and holland right now :)
