Steam not starting

So when i start steam it stays on connecting to my account then just stops working. I re installed steam but it told me the folder needed to be empty so i made a new one called steam2 any ideas why its not working?

WD blue 2tb

samsung 850 evo 250gb

EVGA supernova G2 650w
