Will this build work?

Brevlada-00

I will build my first PC soon, and I was wondering if these components will work together, and my biggest worry is the connections for the cooling as I will buy two more fans to mount in the top, any suggestions for improvements is appreciated

CASE: Phanteks Eclipse P400

PSU: EVGA 600W white

MOBO: Asus Z170-K

GPU: Asus geforce gtx 1060 dual OC 3gb

RAM: Crucial Ballistix sport LT ddr4 2x8gb

HDD: seagate barracuda 1tb

CPU-COOLER: Cryorig H7

it will probably work, you seem to have low enough ram for the h7. however i must ask which cpu you are buying because your motherboard could be a little overkill compared to the gpu.

It won't work without a CPU! :)

The CPU would need to be an Intel Skylake or Kabylake.

One real suggestion:

You didn't list an SSD. Try to fit a 120-250Gig SSD into your budget for the OS and some apps.

Or, check how much drive space you use now - you may find that a single 500Gig SSD would be enough, without any HDD.

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.

i5-6600, 16Gigs, ITX Corsair 250D, R9 390, 120Gig M.2 boot, 500Gig SATA SSD, no HDD

Get a better psu like Seasonic S12II, Corsair CX450M/CX550M, XFX TS.

  • 3 weeks later...

I was thinking of the i5 6600k, forgot it lol

A SSD is of interest, and I think that 500gb will be enough, never thought of that as an option, being my only storage

Thank you for that idea

The i5 6600k I was thinking, do you think that I won't need the k model with the 1060?

If so what motherboard would you recommend, that is black and/or white to fit the "theme"?

What is it that is better with those ones, more adapted wattage for the build, efficiency or something else?

They're higher quality units at the same price. Don't worry about the lesser wattage, you pc won't draw over 300W.
