I have heard really bad things about this laptop, it is made cheaply and people have said there are QC issues.

Amazon reviews seem pretty positive with that machine, but 4 stars is a little lower than usual.

Check out the Aorus X7, it's literally a 1inch thick 17" machine with a 1080. it's made by gigabyte, so it's rock solid.

I agree that the ASUS GL502's are crap. I bought two of them and returned both because of an image of a sequence of numbers was burnt into the screen out of the box on top of some pretty nasty backlight bleed on both units. No, it wasn't IPS glow. I know the difference. Anyway, the quality control seems to be nonexistent for these machines.

Here are pictures of the burn-in and backlight bleed so y'all know I'm not crazy. The image of the burn-in is contrast-adjusted since my phone didn't pick it up super well, and the blue box you see is just the click-and-drag select box on the Windows desktop. I used it since that blue color showed the burn-in well enough for my phone to see it, so that's why it's there.

So yeah, I believe these laptops are jank. I ended up with an MSI GS63VR instead.
